Hiya! My name is Chloe Tong and I'm a graduate at Birmingham City University with a bachelor's degree in Video Game Digital Art. For the past 14 weeks I have been participating in Mastered's Tech Art Bootcamp, and this is the project I have been working on during that time!

4 years ago I worked in a small team to create Untitled Ghowost Game, and for my project I wanted to try recreating it with what I've learnt since then, as well as what I have been learning in the past few months. This game is inspired by Haunt the House and - you'll never guess it - Untitled Goose Game!

During the development of this project, I have focused on specialising in the following areas:

  • 3D Art
  • Blender Geometry Nodes
  • Materials/Shaders
  • Unreal Engine Blueprints

ੈ✩‧₊˚ Behind the scenes

To see the development process in even more detail, please download the development log pdf ^o^

Here are some screenshots of the blueprints!

^ For possessing an object

^ For highlighting/selecting an object via sphere trace

ੈ✩‧₊˚ Software used

  • Blender
  • Unreal Engine 5.1
  • Substance 3D Designer
  • Photoshop
  • Github Desktop

I'd be happy to receive any feedback on the project so far! I also hope to continue developing this project in the future!

i became some objects, zoomed my camera into myself and out the other end, and concluded that i was stuck in shiny window classroom purgatory. but then i saw F to Open Doors, so i continued. it was pretty fun figuring out i can open doors, creepy since there were no sounds. cool lights but it also feels like im playing a game inside the blender rendering tab

Yeah, I defo wanna add sounds to it. Thank you for trying it out and giving me feedback! I really appreciate it ^O^
